*Less Coffee More Often: Ordering your beans fresh from the Kobrick Coffee Roasting Plant means they are roasted and packed days before they arrive at your door. We recommend ordering the amount of coffee that will last you 2-3 weeks at the most.
*Daily Grind: Another fantastic upgrade to your At-Home Cafe is grinding your coffee just before you brew. Starting with whole bean coffee truly changes the quality and flavor in your cup. The coffee begins to get stale the moment you open the bag when you order already ground coffee. A few grinder recommendations include the Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder (under $100 on Amazon), the Baratza Encore Coffee Grinder (about $150 on Amazon), and the Fellow Opus Conical Burr Coffee Grinder (under $200 on Amazon).
*Store It Savvy: Please, do not refrigerate! Refrigeration adds moisture, which is terrible for your coffee. We highly recommend an Airscape Coffee Canister (about $35 on Amazon). You can close your bag of coffee with the tin-tie and fit the whole bag inside the canister, push down the "airscape press" and your coffee will stay very fresh and protected. Another option is to simply use the tin-tie attached to your coffee bag to keep the bag folded over, and add a rubber band over that to keep it securely closed tight. You can then place it in an air-tight zip lock. Either way, please store your beans in a cool, dry cabinet.
With these few, easy upgrades to your At-Home Cafe you will surely taste a big difference in your coffee quality at home, and love what you brew.
Cheers,
